Offshore wind has many on-land components that allow for the electricity they generate to be brought into the existing grid and to our homes. Converter stations and in-water/over-land cabling will be coming to neighborhoods across the region, but are communities ready? This panel will explore what comprises offshore wind’s land-based components; the community-based challenges and strategies necessary for siting; and community benefits that can be aligned.
