Ports and Offshore Wind – Designing for Resilience

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Port facilities—including offshore wind infrastructure—play a key role in solutions to solving the climate crisis, but the impacts of climate change and sea-level rise will nonetheless affect them. All waterfront sites, including industrial ones, are on the frontlines of climate change. This session begins with a discussion of the hazards that port facilities face, including sea-level rise and coastal storm risks, increasing precipitation, and extreme heat, and examines how those differ across the country. This panel of leaders in port and offshore wind design, sustainability, and resilience will discuss the design solutions that can build resiliency for ports, turbines, and supply chains.

* Engineering PDHs are pending for this session
